Common questions

Before you commit.

How long does the process usually take?

Most cases take 12–24 months. USCIS backlogs vary by service center and case type; we'll give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.

Do I need a lawyer, or can I do this myself?

For simple cases with no red flags you can self-file, but an attorney catches small errors that cause big delays. For most clients, the attorney review pays for itself.

What if my case is denied?

We review the denial notice, identify the grounds, and map your options — motion to reopen, motion to reconsider, or appeal. Timing matters, so call us quickly.

Is my information secure?

Your documents are stored in an encrypted client portal, access-controlled to you and your attorney. We do not sell or share client data.

Can I pause my application?

Yes. You can pause your application at any time, and we'll keep your case file open for 12 months so you can pick up where you left off.
