P-1A: Athletes
Individual athletes, team members, professional coaches, or amateur athletes in specific circumstances. International-recognition standard applies.
P-1 is a nonimmigrant visa for athletes and group entertainers with international recognition. P-4 is for their spouses and children. These visas are premium-processing-eligible and can extend up to 10 years.

Members of internationally recognized entertainment groups. At least 75% of the group must have been part of it for at least a year.
Spouses and unmarried children under 21 of P-1 holders. Cannot work in the U.S. but can attend school.

Detailed schedule of events, performances, or competitions.
Awards, media coverage, rankings, prior performance history.
Up to 5 years (renewable for another 5) for individuals; up to 1 year for teams/groups.

You can apply for a green card while on P-1.
